RCMT research activities
Our institute is a highly professional, well-equipped research and educational institution serving the machine-tool and forming-machine industry. It is the main research base of the machine-tool and manufacturing-technology field in the Czech Republic.
The RCMT research programme covers three main areas that comprehensively address machine tools and equipment—from developing accurate, economical, and reliable machine tools, through solutions for manufacturing processes, automation, and robotics, to developing productive, environmentally responsible technologies.
Our research aims to boost the competitiveness of the machine-tools and technologies sector and to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. Topics focus on improving the principal utility properties of machines and technologies across the machine lifecycle and on enhancing the services and support provided.
We conduct research with industry through national and international grant projects, contract research, and direct commercial collaboration.
