Research, development, and teaching are carried out in these laboratories and classrooms.
Laboratories

Five-axis Machining Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with machine tools for testing and researching machine control during complex 5-axis machining operations. It also enables testing of cutting tools.
Room number: A-55
Head(s): Ing. Jan Malý; Mgr. Jan Lomička

CNC Machines Teaching Laboratory
The CNC laboratory is mainly used to demonstrate work on real CNC machines and to carry out laboratory exercises on the machines.
Room number: A-49
Head(s): Ing. Jan Malý; Ing. Petr Vavruška, Ph.D.

Drive Control Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped for teaching and research in feedback control of motion axes (especially using cascade control) and for research into special control algorithms (for example, control of active dampers). Its core equipment is the ETB-1 test bench, fitted with a linear motion axis with a linear motor and a ball screw. For experiments in robot control, a COMAU industrial robot with a SIEMENS Sinumerik control system is installed.
Room number: A-42

Technological Metrology Laboratory
The laboratory is intended for checking the dimensions, shape, and hardness of manufactured parts.
Room number: A-35
Head(s): Assoc. Prof. Ing. Pavel Zeman, Ph.D.; Ing. Jan Malý

Measurement and Diagnostics Laboratory
This laboratory is used to teach measurement methods for manufacturing machines. The installed machines and measuring equipment make it possible to teach and train in the static and dynamic behavior of machine tools, accuracy measurement, and drive control.
Room number: A-131a
Head(s): Assoc. Prof. Ing. Petr Kolář, Ph.D., Ing. Miroslav Janota, Ph.D.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Mechanisms Laboratory
The laboratory is used for teaching fluid systems. Using didactic training setups, students can practically assemble and test functional circuits for specific tasks.
Room number: A-131b
Head: Ing. Tomáš Krannich, Ph.D.

Drives and Electrical Engineering Laboratory
The laboratory is used to teach electrical engineering for drive technology and the setup and control of machine-tool drives.
Room number: A-131c
Head(s): Ing. Jan Moravec, Ph.D.

Spindle Testing Laboratory
The laboratory is used for teaching and research on machine-tool spindles (thermal behavior, dynamic properties, vibro-diagnostics).
Room number: A-132
Head: Ing. David Burian, Ph.D.

NC Control and Automation Laboratory
The classroom is used for teaching NC systems and NC control, ISO programming, and instruction in flexible manufacturing systems.
Room number: A-139
Head(s): Ing. Petr Vavruška, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Ing. Vladimír Andrlík, CSc.

Mechatronics Laboratory
The laboratory is used for fine assembly of electrical and mechatronic units. For producing small fixtures, it is equipped with 3D printers. The lab also hosts PLC-control instruction on SIMATIC programming stations supported by Fischertechnik didactic kits.
Room number: A-140b
Head(s): Ing. Jiří Švéda, Ph.D.

Project and CAD/CAM Systems Classroom
The classroom is used for teaching specialized design courses and projects, and for instruction in CAD and CAM software, including carrying out actual project work in these programs.
Room number: A-152a
Head: Ing. Petr Vavruška, Ph.D.

Hydrostatics Laboratory
It is used for tests on hydraulic test rigs. It is also equipped with test rigs for long-term spindle-bearing testing and for research into the thermal behavior of structures.
Room number: A-s122
Head: Ing. Eduard Stach, Ph.D.

Robotics and Manufacturing Technology Laboratory
This is a shared laboratory of CIIRC and the CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Prague. It is operated in cooperation between CIIRC’s IPA Department (Industrial Production and Automation) and the U12105 Institute of Mechanics, Mechatronics and Biomechanics and U12135 Institute of Manufacturing Machines and Equipment. The lab is equipped with robots, laser machines, machine tools, and industrial control and communication systems.
Room number: S-101, CIIRC building
Head: Assoc. Prof. Ing. Petr Kolář, Ph.D.
